In this episode Mike and Andrew tackle some mythical science fiction writing prompts. In the first Mike deals with an ancient prophecy that led to Earth's near total destruction and the humans who managed to escape returning 1000 years later. In the second Andrew tells a story of a pantheon of planets trying to deal with what to do with the pesky humans that have plagued Gaia for so long and seek to answer the question, "What is better... life... or death?"The guys also give a review of Wakanda forever (spoiler alert!) and talk about the positive and negative aspects of the new Marvel film.

How much should the studio communicate with the audience? How do fans see when they are hoping for too much?

Episode 13 - Season Finale - San Diego Comic Con

Mike and AJ wrap up their inaugural season with an analysis of the announcements coming out of SDCC 2022. Marvel, DC, and others brought some treats for all the pop culture geeks out there. The Fantastic Four are Marvel's first family of adventure and arguably the tentpole team of the Marvel Universe, so why hasn't there been any great movies made about them!?!? In this episode Mike and AJ tackle their upcoming appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and what they would do to make sure that Mr. Fantastic, Invisible Woman, Human Torch, and the ever loving blue eyed Thing get the treatment they deserve!

Episode 10 - The Dying Earth

In this episode, Tales from the Outer Twilight takes Mike and AJ to a near future where humanity is on the brink of extinction and struggling to survive. Does post apocalyptic always have to mean people fighting for gasoline amongst mutants and mayhem, or can there be pathways to a much more hopeful future? Join the boys as they attempt to find hope in the wastelands!

Episode 9 - The Obi-Wan About Kenobi

In this episode Mike and AJ share their thoughts on the now concluded Obi Wan Kenobi limited series from Disney+. The boys also take some time to share their hopes for the future of the Star Wars universe, and even dare to compare the franchise to Star Trek.
